I really love it when I find a good television series. The minute I'm completely absorbed by the characters, plot, scenery, camera work and everything else in-between, I know I've bumped into something rather special. A solid confirmation of this is when the season finale leaves you staring in amazement and gaping like a goldfish at the screen.
Now if you're wondering what on earth I'm going on about, I only have two words for you: Sherlock Homes. Yes, that's right, Sherlock Homes. I bet for many of you his name instantly reeks the word 'boooooooring'. However, Mark Gatiss' and Steven Moffat's modern adaptation of one of the most popular fictional detectives ever has received more than 8-10 million views per episode and I for one can not praise it ENOUGH. Great actors, great filming, great story lines, everything is simply just great.
